Fly Fishing on howqua
Riverdowns is at the centre of one of Australia’s most famous freshwater fisheries. Riverdowns has 600 metres of private frontage to the historic Howqua River and easy access to other famous trout streams including the Delatite, Jamieson and Upper Goulburn Rivers.
Fly fishing instruction and guiding can be arranged for guests and visitors. Your guide Andy Matenson has over 30 years of professional guiding experience in Australia and New Zealand. He guides in Victoria’s High Country, New England, and the Snowy Mountains. He is a Certified Casting Instructor with the International Fly Fishing Federation.
Riverdowns Fly Fishing Guiding and Instruction offer two hour lessons, half day trips and all day guiding. All gear can be provided.

Two Hour Lesson
$175.00 for 1 person, $250 for 2 people and $75 per additional person
our two hour lessons consist of an introductory casting session on grass and a short time on the water.
Half Day Guide
$350 for 1 person, $400 for two people and $75 per additional person
generally for four hours, our half days consist of an introductory casting session on grass and longer time on the water.
full Day Guide
$600 for 1 person, $700 for 2 people and $75 per additional person
A full day is a full guided day on the river where We might drive to different locations on any of the beautiful rivers in our area. lunch, tea and coffee are also provided.
